You can no longer assume to find a charger in your new smartphone’s box. It’s more likely that there won’t be a charger than there will be a charger. As a result, if you want to enjoy the fastest possible charging speeds on the best Android phones and don’t have a compatible charger lying around, you have to buy one separately.
Moreover, suppose you are getting a Google Pixel or a Samsung Galaxy phone. In that case, you need to ensure the charger supports Programmable Power Supply (PPS) on top of USB Power Delivery (USB PD).
As PPS is a supplemental specification to the USB PD standard, not all PD chargers support it. So it can be tricky to find a suitable charger. To help, we have handpicked the best USB PD chargers supporting the PPS specification. These are the best chargers for your current and future phones, laptops, tablets, and anything else under the sun that uses USB Power Delivery and PPS.
This 30W Anker charger may look cute and compact, but don’t let that fool you, as it’s capable of fast charging most Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones that support the PPS protocol. In addition, you can use it to charge all iPhones, iPads, and any other device that employs the USB PD fast charging standard, including the Apple MacBook Air.
The company is able to make it so small thanks to the use of gallium nitride (GaN) instead of silicon, which also keeps it relatively cool while charging. But even if it gets hot, Anker’s ActiveShield 2.0 technology is present to monitor the temperature and ensure everything runs smoothly. In other highlights, the charger has foldable pins to make pocketing convenient.
The Anker 511 comes in five exciting colors, including the Natural Green pictured above.
- Maximum Power: 30W
- Cable included: No
- Charging Ports: USB-C

With two USB-C ports, 65W output, and gallium nitride (GaN) technology, this Baseus foldable charger is an excellent option for anyone looking to buy a PPS charger. The top charging speed of 65W ensures you can charge any PPS-capable smartphone, including the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, at maximum speed. The high wattage output is also useful when you want to top up a USB PD laptop.
Both USB-C ports on the Baseus charger can deliver 65W power, but only when a single port is used. Apart from the Type-C ports, the company has also included a third USB-A port, capable of delivering 60W power, for any older devices that still use Type-A.
Thanks to GaN semiconductors, the charger has a relatively compact form factor and generates less heat while simultaneously charging multiple devices. Lastly, as the name suggests, the charger features foldable prongs, making it convenient for storage and travel.
- Maximum Power: 65W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: 2x USB-C, USB-A

Baseus 65W 3-Port Foldable Charger
Anker is no stranger to chargers. It makes some of the best mobile chargers on the planet, and the Anker 735 (one of three Nano II 65W models) is no exception. Like the Baseus charger, it comes with three charging ports and has a top output of 65W for the USB-C ports. But the USB-A port on the Anker charger can provide up to 22.5W power.
So you can charge everything from your Google Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22 to MacBook Air and Apple Watch. In other highlights, the charger uses GaN instead of silicon for a smaller form factor and comes with foldable pins.
Unfortunately, the Anker 735, despite being PPS compatible, can’t deliver 45W charging to the Galaxy S22 Ultra and other 45W-capable Samsung devices. It’s a problem seemingly present in most Anker chargers. So if you want a charger for your 45W Samsung phone, pick one of our other recommendations.
- Maximum Power: 65W
- Cable included: No
- Charging Ports: 2x USB-C, USB-A

Looking for a single charger for your phone and laptop? The Nekteck 65W GaN Wall Charger is a good option. As the name suggests, the charger can deliver up to 65W of power, enough to charge your phone and many laptops at their top speed.
Also, thanks to PPS support, Google Pixel models and Samsung Galaxy S-series devices can enjoy the fastest possible charging. Unfortunately, like Anker 735 and 713, this Nekteck charger can also not offer 45W PPS charging for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and its brethren.
There is only one USB-C port, but gallium nitride use ensures a relatively small form factor. Lastly, Nekteck bundles a free USB-C to USB-C cable, so you can start using the charger right out of the box.
- Maximum Power: 65W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: USB-C

The AOHI Magcube 65W has everything you need from a good PPS charger and a super-compact body. You will not only get the fastest possible charging speeds on your Google and Samsung phones, but the charger will also fast-charge iPhones, iPads, and many USB PD laptops.
Apart from USB PD, the charger also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 4+, so if you have a device with QC fast charging, you can juice up that as well. Finally, the black version of the charger comes with an LED display USB-C cable that shows the charging speed in real-time. But if you want, you can save a few bucks by picking up the white version, which doesn’t ship with a USB-C cable.

There is a lot to love about this Baseus power brick. Thanks to USB PD 3.1 standard support, it can deliver up to 140W power, enough power to fast charge all USB PD smartphones and tablets. It can also top up the 2021 Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch laptop, which famously uses a 140W USB PD adapter.
Plus, there are two USB-C and one USB-A port. So charging up to three devices is no hassle. Individually, the first USB-C port tops out at 140W, whereas the USB-C 2 port can deliver up to 100W power. Unfortunately, the USB-A is only good for up to 60W.
As the Baseus charger uses gallium nitride instead of silicon, it’s also relatively compact. In other features, you get support for everything from PPS to QuickCharge 5.0.
- Maximum Power: 140W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: 2x USB-C, USB-A

The second Type-C port tops out at 20W in every situation. PPS support is also present, but it may not be the best charger for Samsung’s 45W Super Fast Charging.
In other features, the primary US plug of the charger is foldable, making it convenient for storage and portability. Plus, the company supplies a free 100W USB-C to USB-C charging cable in the pack. All-in-all, it’s a solid USB-C charger for phones, tablets, mobile accessories, and many laptops.
- Maximum Power: 67W
- Cable included: Yes

Samsung is one of the few smartphone makers to use PPS charging in its smartphones. So it isn’t surprising that the company offers a 45W charger compatible with USB PD and PPS. It’s perfect for the company’s Galaxy S-series smartphones and Tab S-series tablets. But even if you don’t have a Samsung phone, it will work just fine with your device, including Google Pixel phones and iPhones.
The charger comes with a single USB-C port, and the company bundles a free USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Moreover, you can buy it in Black or White color options.
As a note, make sure you’re buying the latest version of the 45W charger, because Samsung has old and new versions using the same name. All of our links below this text should go to new listings, but if you get one that doesn’t exactly match the image above, return it. Samsung has updated the way it handles 45W charging for its newest devices; the older version might charge a Note 20 Ultra at 45W, but it might not charge your S22 Ultra at that speed.

Belkin’s BoostCharge Pro Dual USB-C Gan Wall Charger is perfect for simultaneously topping up your phone and USB-C laptop. But if you plug in devices to both ports, the top port will push a maximum of 45W power, whereas the bottom port will top out at 20W.
As the name suggests, the Belkin charger employs gallium nitride (GaN) to manage a relatively compact form factor and deliver a better thermal performance. Beyond that, there are foldable pins on the charger for better portability.
Like other chargers from the company, this one also comes with a two-year warranty and a $2,500 connected equipment warranty for peace of mind.

Finally, you can buy it in an understated Black or a bright Yellow color.

Apart from its excellent 65W charger, Nekteck also offers this great 45W USB-C power brick that’s great for charging both regular USB-PD and PPS devices. It can deliver up to 45W power and even works with Samsung’s 45W Super Fast Charging. The charger is also certified by USB-IF, so you can rest easy knowing you are getting what you are paying for.
Unfortunately, the Nekteck power brick features a permanently attached USB-C cable. So while it’s convenient, it can also be problematic if it stops working and you need to replace it. In that case, you’ll have to change the entire power brick. Fortunately for you, Nekteck products are pretty reliable and this charger is quite affordable.

Ugreen’s Nexode 200W USB C charger is the power brick to consider if you frequently have to charge many USB-C or USB-A devices at home, office, or on the go. Despite its relatively compact size, it packs four USB-C and two USB-A ports. The USB-C1 and USB-C2 ports can put out up to 100W simultaneously, whereas the USB-C3 and USB-C4 can individually deliver up to 65W of power. However, both USB-A ports top out at 22.5W.
Charging bricks with so many ports and such a high power rating are extremely rare, which is why the Ugreen charger is quite expensive. You will have to shell out $200 for it. But at least the company bundles a free USB-C to USB-C fast charge cable in the box.
Another thing to note about the charger is that instead of prongs coming out of the actual brick, it comes with a detachable cable. And lastly, the charger’s USB-C ports support USB PD, PPS, and QuickCharge 4+ protocols, whereas the Type-A ports are suitable for QuickCharge 3.0 and Huawei’s SuperCharge.
- Maximum Power: 100W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: 4x USB-C, 2x USB-A

Spigen makes some of the best cases on the market and is primarily known for them, but its chargers are equally good. So, if you want a single-port 45W USB PD and PPS charger, the ArcStation Pro is a great option. It can charge everything from the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to Galaxy Tab S7 Plus at their top speeds.
One of the highlights of this charger is its 24-month-long warranty period. Most chargers from other brands top out at 12 months or 18 months. Spigen also gives a free USB-C to USB-C cable with the charger, which is excellent if you don’t already own a fast-charge capable Type-C cable. Like most other chargers in our recommendations, the Spigen ArcStation Pro also uses GaN tech and has foldable plugs.
- Maximum Power: 45W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: USB-C

If you are an Apple fan or just like retro technology, then you’ll love this charging brick from Shargeek. A product of a crowdfunding campaign, the Shargeek Retro 35 Wall Charger looks like a tiny Apple Macintosh computer. While the company has obviously focused more on aesthetics, the charger isn’t a slouch in terms of specifications either.
It sports a single USB-C port that can push up to 35W of power to a connected device. The charger also supports a range of fast charging standards, such as USB PD 3.0, PPS, and Quick Charge 3.0. So you’ll be able to fast charge everything from the Pixel 7 to Galaxy S22 to an iPhone 14. In other features, the tiny display on the charger lights up in different colors, like the AOHI Magcube 40W, to indicate whether it’s “normal charging,” “fast charging,” or “supercharging” the connected device.
The only downside is its price tag, which is almost double that of chargers of similar caliber. But then, you are paying a premium for the design rather than the specifications.
- Maximum Power: 35W
- Cable included: No
- Charging Ports: USB-C

Multi-port chargers are handy for topping up multiple devices simultaneously. With four ports and a top charging speed of 100W, the Ugreen Nexode 100W charger is one of the most versatile chargers on the market.
When used individually, the top two USB-C ports of the charger can deliver up to 100W of power, which is more than enough to fast charge not just smartphones and tablets but also most USB PD laptops. The other two ports—USB-C and USB-A—can provide up to 22.5W of power, which you can use to juice up phones, mobile accessories, and power banks. And Ugreen has a handy chart showing you how power breaks down once you’re using multiple ports simultaneously.
Unfortunately, the Ugreen Nexode charger can only provide up to 25W charging to PPS devices. So your Galaxy S22 Plus, Ultra, S20 Ultra, and other 45W PPS devices won’t charge at their top speed.
- Maximum Power: 100W
- Cable included: No
- Charging Ports: 3x USB-C, USB-A

Although the OEM chargers are typically more expensive and less versatile than their third-party counterparts, they are your best option to avoid compatibility issues or confusion between multiple chargers. So if you own a Pixel phone, you can’t go wrong with the Google 30W USB-C charger. It has a single USB-C port, and 30W is enough to fast charge any Pixel-series phone, including the latest Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
While it’s a Google charger, it’ll work with any USB PD and PPS device. So you can charge your Samsung Galaxy phones, iPhones, and other devices with no issues. Finally, as the charger comes in both with and without USB-C cable variants, you can pick what you need.
- Maximum Power: 30W
- Cable included: Yes
- Charging Ports: USB-C

Choosing the right PPS charger for your phone
You’ll find quite a few chargers claiming to support USB PD and PPS standards. But not all are made the same. While some chargers can offer 45W PPS charging or higher, others top out at 25W, which is a problem if you own a phone like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. So when picking a PPS charger, it’s a good idea to ensure that it can deliver the necessary power to charge your device at its top speed.
Our editor’s choice — the Baseus 65W 3-Port Foldable Charger — is a solid choice for anyone who wants a PPS charger. It has three ports, including two USB-C, and fully supports USB PD 3.0 and PPS technologies. 65W may seem like overkill for a phone charger, but given its multipoint arrangement, it’s perfect for charging your phone alongside your tablet or laptop, as many of the best Chromebooks charge at either 45W or 65W.
However, if you wish to opt for an even more reputable brand, the Nano II 65W Charger (735) comes from Anker, known for making some of the best chargers. The Anker charger has almost all the same features as the Baseus charger. But unfortunately, it doesn’t offer 45W PPS charging. So you should only go for it if your phone only requires 25W PPS charging, like most Samsung Galaxy phones.
Lastly, the Anker 511 (Nano II 30W) charger is an excellent value-for-money pick. It’s super compact, with just over an inch in length, width, and thickness, and has foldable pins to make storage convenient. Moreover, you can choose from five colors.
Why does PPS matter?
With smartphones getting more powerful than ever with each new generation, manufacturers are opting for fast-charging technologies to compensate for the relatively little innovation in battery technology. So if the batteries can’t last long, at least making them charge superfast is the new mantra.
USB Power Delivery (USB PD) is one fast-charging standard that has gained prominence in the last few years. It comes from the folks responsible for maintaining the USB standard: USB Implementers Forum or USB-IF.
USB PD is excellent, and its latest Extended Power Range specification (EPR) supports up to 240W of power delivery to mobile devices using the USB standard — though EPR chargers and cables are still a few years off for most of us. Regular Power Delivery already powers millions of smartphones, tablets, speakers, earbuds, gaming consoles, and laptops.
However, the early versions of the USB PD standard didn’t support step-wise voltage variation, so chargers would send more voltage than required to the devices. The device battery would then have to adjust the voltage and current as necessary. As a result, the voltage difference between what was sent from the charger and what was used by the battery would be lost in the form of unnecessary heat.
PPS was introduced as a supplemental specification to the USB PD 3.0 standard to fix this issue. PPS allows devices to request specific voltage and current to optimize battery charging time. As a result, there is less power conversion loss and heat dissipation, which helps the battery’s health in the long term. This is why the manufacturers like Google and Samsung use the PPS technology in their smartphones and tablets.
